Visit to vineyards and wine cellar Sipcanik

Students of the third year of Vatel Montenegro visited vineyards and wine cellar Sipcanik


Students of the third year visited vineyards and wine cellar Sipcanik yesterday, and got opportunity to get to know more about domestic wines and practice in process of treating and serving  wine. Students got their own impressions which they kindly shared with us. 

"From the beginning of my studies to the present, the most important thing for me is learning about wine. The wealth of knowledge this year is much more interesting with a sommelier as a professor.
During yesterday's gathering, we had the opportunity to find out more about breeding vines and keeping squash, the way of harvesting and irrigation, and to see how they look younger and older.
After visiting the vineyards, we had the honor to see the basement and barrels in which the wine is kept, and get into more interesting information about them.
Finally, whole presentation followed by  lecture of professor Miroslav Radojcin, who was more than keen to teach us how to properly open bottles of sparkling, white, red and desert wines,  how and at what temperature it is served to  the guests. We also learned how to taste wine, so we had the opportunity to taste the sparkling wine of Val, white wine Krstac, red wine Vranac Pro Corde and dessert wine Medun.
Today is a big step forward for my colleagues and me because we had the honor to learn from professionals and thus contribute to the development of our future career."

"We had chance to visit winery Plantaze. There were people who made tour around the vineyard with explanation about the sorts of grape, information about how old is every part of the vineyard.After that we had tour around the wine cellar Šipčanik, where our prof.Miloslav Radojčin prepared presentation for us in room for tasting. Presentation was based on types of wine, started with the color , finished with taste and after taste. That was based presentation for sommelier course.It was very useful for our knowledge about the wine culture. It was pleasure to listen one sommelier who tried to give us his knowledge with the concrete and very interesting things."
